June - at the Gallop

Blimey - It's mid June already!

This year is tearing along at a blistering pace, we've already fulfilled commitments at Abingdon, the Lechlade duck race, helped Goodwood aerodrome open it's new doors. supported the Shuttleworth Festival and were delighted to embrace the D-Day 75 celebrations at Lee on Solent.

The Goodwood open day that we supported in late May was outstanding, they were terrific hosts and are quite rightly very proud of their new facility, it also gave us a unique and somewhat impromptu opportunity to formate with the Westland Wasp Historic flight for a few photographs with HMS Queen Elizabeth in the background. We have a total of 6 events in June, including the National Armed Forces Day at Salisbury on 29th.

Remember that photographs of all of our events are available on the website link.

The big news regarding the aircraft is that we have recently acquired the Empire Test Pilot School (ETPS) Gazelles from Boscombe Down. As you'd expect these are in superb condition but realistically won't be hitting the circuit until late July, once we've "civilianised" them.

This weekend we're providing an aerial display at Dunsfold Wings and Wheels and next weekend we're providing 3 aircraft for the Weston Air Festival, but it's fantastically busy and the support and enthusiasm we're receiving from the public is both humbling and wonderful.

We need to salute the work of the FDD's (Flight Display Directors) at all of the airshows. Without the work that these individuals undertake, the UK airshow scene would be a lot quieter.
