Andrew Foxley is an ex Army Air Corps Helicopter pilot who has been with the Gazelle Squadron Display Team since it was started in 2014.
Andrew started his flying career in 1981 with a scholarship and passed the Army Flying course in 1991. He subsequently served 2 tours in Germany flying the Gazelle as a recce pilot and Lynx Mk7 in the Anti-Tank role and operated Army aircraft in Germany, Northern Ireland, Canada and Cyprus. He left the Army in December 2000 after commanding 661 Squadron Army Air Corps, joined British Midland Flying the Airbus A320 aircraft and continued to fly the Gazelle in the Territorial Army with 7 Regiment AAC until 2008 when the unit was disbanded.
He joined British Airways in 2012 and continues to fly the A320 series aircraft on short haul around Europe. To date he has flown over 10,000 hours and about 4 Million miles. He qualified to display the Gazelle helicopter in 2017 and is delighted to be able to ensure that this wonderful helicopter remains in the public eye.
