Tim started his military career in the Royal Marines in 1985. Having travelled the world on various operations and deployments. Becoming fed up with being wet and cold he applied for flying Training.
Tim gained his wings having completed the Army Pilots course in 1994.
Immediately the Royal Marines put him to work supporting 3 Commando Brigade on Operations around the globe. This included exercises from the arctic to the equator
In the year 2000 he was selected to represent the Army Air Corps Blue Eagles helicopter display team. A huge privilege and only a handful of Royal Marines over the years were fortunate to have had this opportunity.
Tim and Andy Usher were involved with Operations on the Al Faw peninsula in March 2003, the largest amphibious operation in recent times.
In 2006 Tim qualified as a Qualified Flying Instructor and spent a number of years teaching elementary flying to military students from all 3 services.
On completion of his time as an instructor a transfer of service to the RAF saw Tim begin a new career as a multi engined fixed wing pilot.
Starting this new chapter on the Hercules C-130J for 4 years before being selected as a Captain and moving onto the mighty Boeing C17 Globemaster.
Having recently retired from the military Tim is now flying corporate charter with 2Excel and is currently a Captain on Boeing 737
Tim has been involved with The Gazelle Squadron for the the last 9 years and is now the Display Team Leader.
